1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how TubeSalt, LLC ("TubeSalt", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use TubeSalt Thumbnails, our AI thumbnail tool for YouTube creators (the "Service") at tubesalt.com.

TubeSalt also makes ButterCut, a separate video-editing tool that runs locally on your own computer. ButterCut and its website, buttercut.io, are covered by their own privacy and cookie policies.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your first name and last name
• Email address
• OAuth-related information from your Google account

We do not store your password. We use Google OAuth for sign-in and store:

• OAuth provider (Google)
• OAuth UID (unique identifier)
• Google access token
• Google refresh token

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage data: how you interact with the Service's features and content.
• YouTube API data: with your permission, we retrieve channel and video performance data from the YouTube API to help you build thumbnails.
• Analytics: we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that sets no cookies and collects no personal data.

2.3 Payment Information

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. We never receive or store your full card details. For a ButterCut Pro license we store your name, email, and license key so we can deliver updates.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve the Service
• Build and refine thumbnails from your channel data
• Process payments and manage licenses

• With service providers acting on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, Fal.ai for image generation, Lemon Squeezy for payments, Plausible for analytics)

We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption and secure storage. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
